Lucila leaves Mexico with her younger brother to reunite with their mother in Madrid, who left few years earlier chasing a better future. When they finally arrive, the bitter, suffocating reality that awaits them proves far harsher than Lucila had imagined. Still, she is determined to make the most of this fragile new life.
