When Marcelo Pena finally is about to be appointed Head of the Philosophy Department, the famous and seductive Professor Sujarchuk returns from Europe to claim the kingdom for himself.

BENJAMÍN NAISHTAT

Benjamín Naishtat studied film in Universidad del Cine, Buenos Aires. He furthermore took part in the Contemporary Arts program of Le Fresnoy, France, and was granted a Radcliffe / Film Studies Center Fellowship from Harvard University. He wrote and directed Rojo (2018) which was selected in Official Competition at the San Sebastian Film Festival, awarded with the Concha de Plata for Best Direction, Best Cinematography and Best Actor for Darío Grandinetti. Benjamín wrote and directed El movimiento (2015) with the support of the Jeonju Film Festival, which premiered at the Locarno Film Festival. The film won Best Argentine Film at the Festival de Mar del Plata and the Jury Award at the Valdivia Festival. Benjamín wrote and directed Historia del Miedo (2014), which premiered at the Berlinale Official Competition. Currently, he is working on the adaptation of Los Siete Locos, by Roberto Arlt.

Writer-Directors

MARÍA ALCHÉ

María Alché is an Argentine director, script writer and actress. She studied filmmaking at ENERC, where she teaches actors direction. She studies Philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires. She directed the short films Noelia, Gulliver, Invierno 3025 and ¿Quién se metió con Mayra?, presented at several international film festivals. She wrote and directed the feature film Familia Sumergida (A Family Submerged), starred by Mercedes Morán which won best Film in Horizontes Latinos at the San Sebastian Film Festival, Best First Feature Film at Gotteborg Film Festival, Best Director at Ficunam, Best Script at the Lima Festival, and was presented at the Festivals of Locarno, Havana, Lincoln Center NY, Jeonju and Viennale, among others. Currently, she is developing in the residency Ikusmira Berriak 2023 her new project Te amo y hoy todo es hermoso (I love you and today everything is beautiful) and she is writing the documentary Chocobar by Lucrecia Martel.
