Franco García's (Cusco, 1977) debut feature film, "Southern Winds" (2018), premiered at the Lima Film Festival (Peru), also was selected at Dominican Global Film Festival. Chicago Latino Film Festival, Cine de las Américas Film Festival, among others.
"Through Rocks and Clouds" (2024), his second feature film will have its World Premiere at the 74th Berlin Film Festival.
With his short film "Indie", he won the Peruvian Short Film Award in 2008. His next short film “Lima, 2011”, received the Best Short Film and Best Screenplay Award from the Ministry of Culture of Peru in 2011, won the best short film award at the Peruvian Film Festival in Paris in 2013.
